Introduction

A full enrichment programme of visits, clubs and additional GCSEs taken outside the timetabled lessons are at the very heart of County High life.

Our journeys’ programme includes:

• Language trips/exchanges to France, Germany, Japan and Spain
• Sports’ tours to Barcelona and South Africa as well as an annual ski trip
• Tours for our musicians which have included Suffolk, Virginia, USA; Venice and Cathedral Evensongs
• An annual Physics trip to CERN and a biennial conservation trip
• History visits to the Battlefields, Munich, Berlin and Washington
• A classics/Geography trip to Pompeii
• Art tours to Paris.

In addition there are one-off trips, monthly theatre visits and residentials for schemes like the Duke of Edinburgh award and the Engineering Education Scheme.

GCSEs in Astronomy, Dance, Latin and Japanese can be taken in extra-curricular time, together with graded theory music examinations.
